SAT scores are released according to College Board's schedule for the specific administration. Do not assume every test produces a result exactly 14 days later. Weekend and School Day reporting follow different tables, and a student's release date is different from a college's receipt or processing date.
The schedules below were checked September 6, 2026. They cover the fall dates currently listed on College Board's official score-release page. Spring 2027 dates should be checked there when the provider publishes them; this article does not generate them by adding a guessed number of days.

The listed August release has already passed as of this article's review. If you are reading later, use the live schedule and your account notices rather than treating this dated table as an update feed.
Fall 2026 in-school releases
For in-school testing, College Board organizes the fall table by answer-submission cutoff.
| Student answers submitted by | Scores available to students |
|---|---|
| October 9, 2026 | October 22, 2026 |
| October 23, 2026 | November 5, 2026 |
| October 30, 2026 | November 12, 2026 |
The official page also advises state-program participants to confirm availability with their state. Ask your school's coordinator which timing applies to your administration.
Do not choose a row simply by remembering the day you sat in the testing room. The table's label is answer submission, and your school can help confirm the relevant reporting group.
Student, educator, and college dates are different
A search result may show a date that is correct for educators but not for students. The same official table can contain several release columns.
Use this distinction when planning:
| Event | What it means |
|---|---|
| Student release | You can access your available result through the applicable student process |
| Educator release | Authorized school staff can access results through their reporting system |
| Score send | College Board transmits an ordered report |
| College processing | The institution matches and records the received report |
Do not treat the earliest date in any column as a promise that every applicant portal will update that day.
Check account access before release day
Make sure you can sign in to the appropriate College Board account and access the email associated with it. If you have an account problem, address it before the expected release rather than waiting until an application deadline is close.
For School Day, follow your school's instructions for accessing results. Ask the coordinator if your result does not appear where expected. Avoid creating duplicate accounts as a first response to a missing score.
Keep test-date and registration information available when contacting official support. Do not share your password, authentication codes, or complete account records in public forums.
A calm account check is more useful than repeatedly refreshing a page you cannot properly access.
If your result is not available when expected
First verify the correct administration and release table. Then check official account notices and messages. For School Day, ask whether the school's answer-submission or state reporting schedule explains the timing.
If the expected release has passed and you still cannot locate the result, use College Board's official support channels. Describe the test date and access problem accurately.
Do not infer a score cancellation, a particular score level, or a testing violation merely because a result is delayed. A missing result alone does not establish the cause.
If a college deadline is approaching, contact the institution with the actual situation. Ask what documentation or later update it permits. Do not claim that a delayed result automatically qualifies for an exception.
Do free score sends wait until you see the result?
The free selection windows can close before score release. College Board's Weekend sending instructions give a nine-day post-test window; its School Day instructions describe a three-day window.
That means “I will decide after the score appears” may involve a different cost or process. Review the rules before testing and use eligible fee-waiver benefits when applicable.
Do not assume the date on this article's release table extends the free-report selection deadline.
Plan college reporting with a buffer
College Board describes standard score sending as typically five to ten business days after an order, while institutions may need additional processing time. Rush service applies only to scores already released.
Before choosing a last possible test, read the institution's wording. A deadline for taking a test is different from a deadline for receiving an official report.
If the policy allows self-reporting initially, follow its exact instructions. If it requires an official report by a specific date, build the reporting time into your plan. Avoid guessing from what a different college accepted last year.
What to do after opening the score
Save the official report. Read both section results, the report's ranges, and its skill information before making a retake decision.
Give yourself time to interpret the result. A useful first review answers:
- Which section most affects my working goal?
- Which skills need further investigation?
- Did testing conditions create a problem to address?
- Does another test serve my actual college plan?
- What reporting task must I complete next?
The SAT score calculator can help organize practice accuracy, but it cannot predict an unreleased digital SAT score from remembered correct counts. Its separate paper Practice Test 6 ranges are not a way to reconstruct your official test.
While waiting, keep working on known weaknesses at a manageable pace. Once the report arrives, replace speculation with the information it actually provides.
