• Account information: name, email address, grade level, target school
• Usage data: practice session results, mock exam scores, lesson progress, time spent
• Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
• Technical data: browser type, device type, IP address (for security purposes only)

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize the Platform experience
• To track your progress and generate performance analytics
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To communicate with you about your account
• To improve the Platform based on usage patterns

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Stripe: for payment processing
• Supabase: for data storage and authentication
• Vercel: for hosting
• Connected parents/tutors: if you link your account through the Connect portal, linked adults can view your practice progress

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

SHS Prep is designed for students in grades 6-9 (typically ages 11-15). We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Students under 13 must have parental consent to create an account. Parents can review, modify, or delete their child's data by contacting us.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via Supabase, and Row Level Security (RLS) on all database tables. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Practice history and analytics are retained to provide progress tracking. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
