How is the enhanced ACT structured?
The core ACT has English, Math and Reading: 131 questions across two hours and five minutes of testing, before breaks. Those three sections determine the 1-36 Composite score. Science and Writing are optional additional sections and do not contribute to that Composite.
Should I prepare for Science or Writing?
Check your registration, school-day testing requirements and the colleges you are considering. Your school or district may decide whether Science is included. SHSPrep includes Science lessons, targeted practice and optional Science in both mock exams. Writing includes lessons, reflections and original essay prompts in both mock exams, with a rubric for self-review, without an automated essay score.
What is included with paid ACT prep?

Is this a live class or a self-paced program?
SHSPrep is self-paced software with lessons, practice and review. Monthly access costs $34, or choose six months for one $99 payment. You can also use it alongside a tutor: bring your missed questions and skill-level results to your next session.
How long do the one-time passes last?
The $99 Season Pass lasts six calendar months from successful payment. The $169 Early Studier Plan lasts twelve calendar months from successful payment. Neither pass renews automatically. These are rolling terms, not school-year expiration dates.
How does the monthly plan work?
Monthly access costs $34 and renews each month until canceled. Canceling ends paid access immediately, including when cancellation is scheduled for the end of the billing period.
Can a parent manage more than one student?
Parents use their own accounts and connect with their students by invitation. Monthly and Season Pass plans each include one student seat; the Early Studier Plan includes two. Seats apply only to ACT prep.
Does one purchase include the other exams?
No. Each purchase covers ACT prep only. SAT, ACT and SHSAT have separate access, learning progress and billing. An existing SHSPrep account can enroll in another exam without replacing its current access.
